To be in the shrines of the Infallibles (as.) requires some rituals practicing some is obligatory while others recommended. One of them is the adherence to code of conduct and praying not so loud at these holy places. Not praying loudly is logical and religiously acceptable. Yet, whether practicing such a code of conduct is obligatory or recommended in the shrines is point of controversy among Islamic jurists. Seemingly, the controversy stems from different inferenced made from the 2nd verse of Hujarat chapter (Surah). According to the said verse, the prohibition of speaking loudly before the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and his family during their lifetime is absolutely established. However, establishing the prohibition of such a conduct after the demise of the prophet of Islam (PBUH) and Imams (as.) when being at their shrines is dependent on proving the necessity nature of the forbiddance put forth in the said verse, establishing there is no difference between the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and his family (as.) regarding the above said commandment and generalizability of it after their demise. Though it may look possible to prove the above mentioned premises, it, regarding the prohibition of such a conduct, is assumed in the said chapter that raising voice would show disrespect for them. Thus, the Islamic jurists have not inferred any prohibition from the verse. As the results, we should consider that raising voice while praying in the shrines of the infallibles (as.) is not recommended in a sense of accruing scant reward (Thawab)
