Abstract
One of the bedrocks of convergence and world Muslim unity is the use of the great capacities of ziyārah cities. The idea of congergence of ziyārah cities is one of the most effective solutions which needs providing the cultural, economic, and political means for it. The problem of this study is identifying the economic elements and factors involved for convergence of ziyārah cities as well as for ranking and analyzing their relations. The aim of this study is a practical one and the data have been collected using a descriptive survey. The initial data have been collected by using questionnaires given to a sample consisting of 47 individuals among directors, teachers, elites, and experts in the domain of management of ziyārah cities in Iran. The information has been analyzed based on the combination of the two methods DEMATEL-ANP and Fuzzy as well as a network based analysis. Based on the results of this study, the five elements of management of endowments and vows, welfare services to pilgrims, offering service to the deprived, construction and enhancement of shrines, and finally ground and air transportation are considered to be among the effective economic elements in convergence of ziyārah cities, which, among them the element of welfare services to pilgrims had the highest priority, and management of endowments and vows had the highest level of interaction and pure effect. Moreover, the highest level of coming under influence pertained to welfare services to pilgrims, and the highest level of exerting influence pertained to the element of managing endowments and vows. Therefore, emphasis on attracting popular support and paying attention to the sources of income in ziyārah cities is considered as one of the most important strategies from the economic aspect for convergence of ziyārah cities.
