The nature of <em>ihram</em> is a challenging subject, evidenced by providing more than ten views. This study follows a library-based method to understand the nature of <em>ihram</em> with the approach of reducing the number of these views. The background of the issue, the origin of the disputes, and the multiplicity of the views were briefly discussed. In this regard, four factors were mentioned. Finally, referring the views to four general bases, it was concluded that the truth of <em>ihram</em> is the <em>Sharia</em>-based validity such as marriage and purity that are validated by legislators after their realization. The innovation of this study in comparison to similar ones, in addition to the method that it followed, is its attention to the history of evolution, the analysis of the views, and the criterion of basics, and the reduction of the views to four ones. احرام در عمره و حج رکن و شرط صحت همه اعمال عمره و بسیاری از واجبات حج است. چیستی احرام از مباحث چالشی بوده و شاهد بر آن وجود بیش از ده قول در تعریف آن است.<br />این نوشته به روش کتابخانه‌ای و با انگیزه شناخت حقیقت احرام با رویکرد کاهش اقوال در حقیقت آن است. ابتدا از پیشینه مسئله سخن گفته شده و سپس با نگاهی گذرا از منشأ اختلاف و کثرت اقوال بحث به میان آمده است و در این رابطه به چهار عامل اشاره شده است.<br />در پایان پس از ارجاع تمام اقوال به چهار مبنای کلی و نقد و بررسی آنها، این نتیجه به‌ دست می‌آید که حقیقت احرام اعتبار شرعی مانند زوجیت و طهارت است که از سوی شارع بعد از تحقق اسباب اعتبار می‌شود. نوآوری مقاله بر نوشته‌های مشابه، افزون بر روش، عبارت است از: توجه به تاریخ تحول، تحلیل اقوال، ملاک‌شناسی مبانی و کاهش اقوال به چهار قول. https://journal.hzrc.ac.ir/article_244383_0b5a3e8a68b65b6a96afadc12c4af673.pdf
